Thread four already.

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

Hi all! The amazon owl watch linked in the second post (thanks Reastie) - has anyone bought anything like that? I can't understand how it's so cheap.

MooseyMoo · 10/08/2014 07:14

Gap have 20% full price items and free delivery with cooldeal

Gooseysgirl · 10/08/2014 08:20

Am a bit sceptical about house of Fraser clearance... had three items in my basket then googled them all and found them at the same price elsewhere but not on sale if that makes sense? Maybe they're just price matching... just something to be aware of. Might not be true for all items of course!

chanie44 · 10/08/2014 08:44

Chasedbybees - I haven't bought the owl watch, but I've bought some similar stuff (a hello kitty chain, credit card watch and finger lights). I was admiring my bargains with some work colleague and one said they were probably made in sweat shops Hmm

daddykyller · 10/08/2014 08:52

Pretty much everything comes from China these days. PLaces like ebay and some of the other sellers you see on amazon buy them direct from there so there are less middle men in the way. And then when the pound does well in the financial market (like recently) the price looks good to us.

I think even if you bought it in Asda or something it still came from probably the same factory or whatever- but it just passed through more hands to get there, plus they have their bi shops etc to maintain, and that's why it's more expensive.

Just my 2p on it :)

chestnut100 · 10/08/2014 08:54

Zamboni, sorry my tip didn't pay off for you. Perhaps it's just a case of each store getting rid of their overstock?

Iseechickens · 10/08/2014 10:47

Chad valley designer denim at a good price.

Methenyouplus4 · 10/08/2014 10:56

Just reserved the Chad Valley set, thanks. Also, just a warning that the whistle keyring gets pretty awful reviews.

Cocolepew · 10/08/2014 11:29

My local Semi Chem has a sale on, atm. Loads of beauty products less than half price, very large heart pattern storage box £2.49. Avengers Assemble shower gel and hair gel pack £1.49, mini straightners with hair products down to £4.99. These are what I bought, they had toys in the sale too but my two are too old so I never looked at them.

Zamboni · 10/08/2014 13:44

Think so chestnut - was a fab tip though. Grin

LalyRawr · 10/08/2014 13:52

Ugh, I want that Design Denim thing, but out of stock in my area. Stupid shops selling their stock before I can buy it. Angry

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 10/08/2014 14:37

Love the bib but already brought a Xmas one I get my fancy ones handmade by roro taggy designs on Facebook at £3 each in any design you like they are fab she makes loads stuff.

dollybean · 10/08/2014 14:53

Mini micro scooter update! Our local Decathlon were sold out but they

kindly offered to order one for us Grin However, it is only the pink

that's reduced and no other colours Confused Angry Still a great tip

from Miss and I hope this info is useful to someone

TenMinutesEarly · 10/08/2014 14:59

Great tip I have never seen a mini micro so cheap!

dollybean · 10/08/2014 15:14

I know, it's a great deal! Tbh I'd already made peace with the fact that it was going to cost £55 so not a crushing disappointment as I have grabbed so many other things at good bargains.

MumbleBag · 10/08/2014 15:52

Thanks for the John Lewis toy clearance update. Just bought these for DD My first twin dolls

JerseySpud · 10/08/2014 15:55

Bloody Argos. Says the denim thing is in stock but when I go to reserve it isn't!! Will screen shot the number and try when I go to get the last of my pony parade bargains tomorrow

RhinosAreFatUnicorns · 10/08/2014 16:45

Thanks Chestnut. Nipped to morrisons and they had 3 of the princess ballerina Disney figures with no price on them. I wouldn't have thought to ask, had it not been for you as they weren't with the sale items, but yes, reduced to £2.99 each.

MissLydiaBennett · 10/08/2014 16:59

Oh no dolly that's such a shame! The store here (Glasgow) only had blue ones - maybe there's been a run on them (can't think why!!).

I bought a blue one yesterday on the off chance that my nephew would like one for Christmas but it turns out he's already got one. If you want to pm me, you could have it for cost + postage??

leesmum · 10/08/2014 17:01

Sorry if its already been asked but what's the deal with aliexpress? I've seen a good waterproof running jacket that's got good reviews. Has anyone ordered clothes and does it automaticaly convert to pounds. Thanks

Reastie · 10/08/2014 17:23

mumble DD has those and she loves them, very good for £7.50.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 10/08/2014 17:41

Flipping heck that's a good price on the mini micro!

DaisyFlowerChain · 10/08/2014 17:41

Chased, the owl watch keyring is cute and comes in just a clear small bag but nice for a stocking filler for an owl lover.
