Thread four already.

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

I know a few people mentioned apps that keep track of your gift buying, are any suitable for none-iphones? Ideally, would love one password protected as ds (9) is still a believer (though not sure he will be this year after starting middle school). Thanks.

Local Sainsbury's had 25% off most of their Lego but still didn't think it was that cheap, not sure as not bought any for ds in a while so not 'up' on prices.

OneSkinnyChip · 08/08/2014 22:34

Brilliant thread, thanks so much :)

I feel like I can legitimately join in now that our Slimming World leader has started going on about how many weeks it is until Christmas Wink

imip · 08/08/2014 22:39

Thanks to the poster who linked the John Lewis toy sale. I stocked up on birthday presents for the present cupboard draw, including junior scrable, which will also suit dd1 and 2.

Methenyouplus4 · 08/08/2014 23:00

Also thanks for John Lewis, got the Dunlop garage and skating sylvanian family pair-very Christmassy.

SisterMoonshine · 08/08/2014 23:00

Thankyou Scaredycat, will have a look :)

GreatSoprendo · 08/08/2014 23:04

Yay! Christmas bargains thread time again!
Anyone know if there are any extra tax or customs charges on Aliexpress before I buy minions pyjamas for every child I know?

Scaredycat3000 · 08/08/2014 23:22

Taken from HM revenue and customs

If you order or purchase goods other than alcohol, tobacco, perfume and toilet water from a country outside the EU then you have to pay:
• Customs Duty on goods with a value that exceeds £135
• import VAT on goods with a value that exceeds £15

Most sellers fill in the customs form on your parcel 'Gifts $5'.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/08/2014 23:23

Beasty ikea do two different car mats. Jojo do really nice expensive ones

freedom2post · 08/08/2014 23:28

Bit your parcel may well spend ages sat at customs dispite not needing any charges ...

ISpyPlumPie · 09/08/2014 00:13

Thanks so much for this thread Reastie and also another massive thanks to whoever mentioned the John Lewis toy sale Thanks. Have just ordered the half price drum kit (on the basis it has headphones!) as well as a couple of games.

Sainsbury's toy sale also worth a look - got the Tomy colour maker for £16.99

chestnut100 · 09/08/2014 07:02

My local morrisons had some great toy reductions yesterday. Most notably, Disney princess ballerina figures (the size of barbie, but aerial, Snow White etc) reduced from £7.70 to £2.70 each. Absolute bargain! I got all 4 characters.

I'm hunting for toy story figures at a good price, if anyone comes across them

GreatSoprendo · 09/08/2014 08:16

Thanks scaredy and freedom. Am placing an order now.....

whatshallwedo · 09/08/2014 08:58

Iseechickens · 09/08/2014 10:39

Oh me too regarding getting all excited.

DS words this morning "mum, why are you asking what I want for Christmas? It's ages away and I'm not even excited yet!" Blush

MamaPain · 09/08/2014 11:31

I don't know if these count as bargains, but I was browsing ecookshop and did a little Christmas search. They have some Christmas crockery at discounted rates. Not super cheap as its Portmerion etc but I do remember these being full price at Christmas time.

here

TheWildOnes · 09/08/2014 13:34
