Thread four already.

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

I've managed to get as far as half way through the last one (I know, I know, could do better) so if there's anything you think from the last thread that got missed off please let me know and I'll amend for next one.

The Lego Friends Rehearsal Stage is now half price £8.99 on Amazon, only a few left though!

NormHonal · 16/08/2014 20:25

I was looking for the Lion King on DVD too, Moosey. Shocked at the prices on Amazon!

JerseySpud · 16/08/2014 20:26

Thanks Nick but sadly Saninsburies is no good for me as they dont deliver here. But i will go and fine the mams and papas on amazon and add it to my camel camel camel

Reastie · 16/08/2014 20:54

moosey saw some disney dvds half price in tesco or sainsburys (forget which) in the past couple of weeks. Might be worth checking if they have lion king?

I just realised the other day why camelcamelcamel is called that. I spent nearly 3 years thinking it was a weird website name and why did they choose that and then DH explained it to me Blush

Good to have you back jersey

Reastie, at risk of sounding thick...why is it called camelcamelcamel? Grin

Methenyouplus4 · 16/08/2014 21:02

I was just going to ask that!

Got my North Face fleece today, could someone repost the link as can't seem to find the original one and I'd like to get a second one.

PinkSquash · 16/08/2014 21:03

I too have no idea about the origins of CamelCamelCamel.

As an aside, I ordered a Fireman Sam jigsaw and some lego storage blocks from John Lewis, delivery to store. I had a message on Monday saying item was ready for collection but on Tuesday it wasn't available to collect. An email later and I get a phone call to say that they had problems with their ordering system and they would send my order by courier for next day delivery, which I was more than happy with.

So I go to collect the item from JL store and all my items are there and the 'missing' items have been delivered home too. So I ring them and offer to post the spare back and was told to keep them and was thanked for my honesty.

They also refunded my order costs too. So am very happy with JLs customer service!

michaelgoveisatwat · 16/08/2014 21:11

Has anyone ordered any football stuff from Aliexpress? My DS has about 7 different kits with names and numbers on his list! He won't care if they are "replicas" and I can get them for about £7 each on there but unsure about size.....
Going on their charts I'd need a large for him ( rather tall 7 year old) but I'm umming and ahhing!

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 16/08/2014 22:00

OH NO I didn't realise about the different sizes on AliExpress Sad I didn't even look at the size charts Blush How stupid of me...well I've got 3 frozen dresses and 2 party dresses winging their way to me in god knows what size!!

I have no idea where camelcamelcamel comes from either reastie do tell?!

JerseySpud · 16/08/2014 22:02

It was exactly a year ago today I bought gadget BlushGrin

andadietcoke · 17/08/2014 07:11

Now I really need to know about the origins of CamelCamelCamel!

I nothing about Y6 (going into Y7) boys - does anyone have any ideas for about a tenner? I've got a couple of the Galt marble runs - are they two young? We're having a 'thanks for helping us survive the first year of twins' party at the end of the month and are buying all the kids presents. Think I might also have some Lego Technik stashed too.

There's also a Y4 boy - would the marble run be okay for him?

Methenyouplus4, here is the link to The North Face fleece- www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EQ0WVNY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The one I got for about £16 is now £33 ish!

LadybirdsAreFab · 17/08/2014 07:42

Thanks Mipe for the Lego Friends deal. I have bought two, one for my DD and one for my niece.

BakeOffQueen · 17/08/2014 07:47

Some of these Berghaus fleeces are reduced, eg. the medium one in olive is now £18.73 from £41.74

PinkSquash · 17/08/2014 07:58

andadietcoke I would say a marble run would be too young for 10/11 year olds but may not be for an 8 year old (if they're a young 8 IYSWIM?) Lego and Lego Technics are a huge hit if DS1 (8) and DSS (11) are anything to go by. Smile

MyMummyRuns · 17/08/2014 08:02

Coffee my DS was my DMs first grandchild and we gave her a framed picture of his footprints (found feet easier than hands as he clenched his fist whenever we tried to paint it). Just used nice paper, then printed a little note thingy which we stuck underneath the footprints with those padded stickers so it was a bit 3d and then put the whole lot in a nice frame. Went down a storm and is still proudly displayed now.

DS and DD are now nearly 5 and 2.5 respectively and I'm still forcing personalised stuff on her (I blame Pinterest!), may actually have to rethink from next year, but she still seems happy with it at the moment. Either that or she's a good actress....

Methenyouplus4 · 17/08/2014 08:33

Thanks Bake Off, was hoping it was still reduced but think we just caught a lucky bargain.

I have a 9 year old and I don't think he'd be that interested in a marble run. Things he loves that are around £10: Wimpy Kid books, Lego, his chess set, Michael Morpurgo books, Games Work Shop stuff, anything football related. Hope this helps.
