Wooden dolls house

I am looking for a dolls house for my 3 year old DD. Last year I brought her the little Melissa and Doug carry one from Amazon for about £15 (thanks Christmas bargain thread!) she loves it and would like to get her something bigger. I quite like the open sided ones but not sure of the quality of any of them as just looking on line. Does anyone have one that they can recommend? Budget up to £100 as it will be her main present. Thanks!

DD(2) has THIS one. Her older sister has one of the more grown up ones from the Sue Ryder 'new goods that do good' range too but this one is ideal for little people - rather robust!

My DD got this house for her 3rd birthday, a little over budget at £120 but may come down in price. We bought it in TK Maxx, unfurnished for £40 and have furnished it with a mix of Sylvanian Famillies furniture and cheap wooden sets from ebay/asda. Well worth the money and easy to play with as you can get into it from all sides. Bought in February this year and played with daily

Lots of vintage dolls' houses around on eBay or in local antique barns etc that you can customise yourself, if that's your bag. We've bought a 30s style one (prob homemade in the 80s) from an antique barn for dd for 20 pounds. We will renovate it to resemble our cottage that we actually live in, to some extent. Dd is only 2, so probably equally if not more pleased with her Peppa play house and Happyland cottage - but we hope the dolls' house might be of interest for years to come. A thing of beauty is a joy forever...

Asda do one, I got a 70 pound one for 35 pounds in a sale end of last summer when they reduced all their wooden toys so worth looking out for. It is lovely and good quality IMO.

My daughters got the Asda one about 3 or 4 years ago, it's been brilliant. The roof is on hinges and opens up and the front opens. It fits all kind of figures, I think dd3 has turned it into a Peppa Pig museum.

I also got very traditional wooden figures from Lidl a few years ago and some furniture which was fab but my friend had the Lidl dolls house and it was awful. Everything had to be glued and fell apart.

Check out Sue Ryder online - beautiful hand made wooden houses. I walked past the shop once and saw them in the window and just had to go in to have a closer look. They're not second hand, I think they're especially made for the company. If bambino #2 is a girl, I'll def be getting one (if she's into doll's houses that is ;) ).

The asda one is down to only £20 on their website! I've already sorted DD's Christmas present but would it be suitable for her second birthday? Not too experienced with little girls- used to football crazy boys!!

Early learning centre one , it's about £80 but you often get 20% off codes. It's fab my 3yr old loves it and it's the one thing that gets played with every day. You buy furniture etc seperate but I got relatives to buy little bits for Xmas too. Intend to buy more this Xmas as it's been such a hit.

The asda house is fantastic, really sturdy. Got it for dd last Christmas and she loves it.

I read this as Woollen dolls house and clicked on it expecting there to be lots of complaints about it collapsing!

Thanks for the heads up on the asda one but it looks like it's a clearance line? And no accessories? Anyone have any idea if it's going completely and where I can get furniture from if so. Thanks.

Hi, has anyone see the asda wooden dolls house in stores recently? (south east) thanks

My DD (10) has had the ASDA one for three or four years now and still plays with it regularly. We went to the carpet shop and bought some flotex tiles to carpet the house out with and she's had it as a peppa pig school, an egyption house, a normal house, a boarding school a palace over the years: very robust for the bargain price (they were only 15 back then) and a blank canvas to be anything inside. I'd recommend it.

Some simplistic, solid wood houses here. We have two of them and they're very good quality, but might not be what you're looking for.

Plan dolls houses are usually ok. I'd avoid anything like Le Toy Van as the quality is not great (our 'old' one is languishing in the outdoor playhouse).

we had an Asda one a couple of years back but it's not great - it's very deep and has no side windows which means it's dark and really, you only use part of it, all the furniture we have is just at the front. Full of junk most of the time!
