Thanks petal going to have a look for those sticker books! Dp thinks I'm mental ordering so much now.. He clearly doesn't understand that we are due dc2 on Sunday and between now and Christmas is going to be crazy!

ipswichwitch · 25/07/2014 12:38

Beany, Amazon is a good place to look for pretend food. Ordered this to go in DS1's kitchen for his birthday.
eBay is also a good place to look, as is tesco direct, and I have seen Melissa and Doug pretend food on sale in debenhams

chanie44 · 25/07/2014 14:20

I mentioned up thread that asda were selling a 600 piece Lego set for £15.

I picked one up today and am very impressed. It's probably aimed at younger children, aged 4-6 though.

MooseyMoo · 25/07/2014 15:22

Thanks for The Works tip. I've bought The Rainbow Magic Anniversary set for £5.99 7 books) and Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs for £1.99. 18% CB with Quidco and free delivery with freedel

Chocolateteabag · 25/07/2014 15:33

Spotty - avoid posting anything of any weight to NZ - it's soo expensive!
having just paid more than it cost to send a toy land rover to DN on MIL's behalf

We buy things on NZ websites and have them gift wrapped and sent - works out far cheaper when you take postage into consideration. And much quicker esp when you've forgotten a birthday

Chocolateteabag · 25/07/2014 15:33

Sorry if you already knew that though..

SpottyTeacakes · 25/07/2014 15:35

My step mums from
New Zealand so know a bit. I might just give it to them when they're back for my wedding in November!

platespinnermum · 25/07/2014 15:43

Beany I was in my local Argos today and they had boys / girls 2000 sticker books for £1.99 each - just had a quick look on their website, the online prices are slightly different (higher for girls & lower for boys) but there are a couple of other options too, all with free delivery - sticker books
Also my local Poundworld have big sheets of 100+ colour branded stickers - I remember seeing Furby, Moshis & cute cats, there were definitely more types but memory fails me!

AWhistlingWoman · 25/07/2014 16:08

Wild I have one going spare if you still want one? DD2 only wants Frozen things apparently!

imip · 25/07/2014 16:29

For anyone wishing to buy for family in Australia (and I think this will generally hold for NZ and some other o/s countries), it is really useful to look at uk shops that offer free delivery overseas.

For instance, it seems that m&s constantly have free delivery over £30 to Australia (funny how its a higher spender needed in the uk), look fantastic is also free, however, they have restricted a lot of the products that can be sent over. Boden only costs £12, so if you are buying for a couple of people, that's actually cheaper than sending it. Last year, I remember the white company also having a free deal. It's worth checking out.

This year I was thinking of sending my girlfriends a copy of top bananas through book depositary.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 25/07/2014 17:48

Great thread! Can I join? I love a bargain.

Is it only online bargains we post or can we post stuff we've seen whilst out and about?

EvilHerbivore · 26/07/2014 12:36

Welcome Twinkle! Any bargains you see whether online or in proper shops are great, might be just the thing someone was looking for!

acsec · 26/07/2014 12:50
