Sure it's already been mentioned but The Works have got lots of good stocking fillers plus they've got an extra 20% off online and they're offering free delivery. Just ordered some of these for my Godsons

Does anyone know where to get big packs of stickers from? Dd is just starting to get into stickers, but can't find any that seem reasonably priced (are they just stupidly expensive?!) I don't mind if they come with the sticker book.. Not that I think she will be that bothered by it and my house will clearly end up covered!

RJnomore · 24/07/2014 19:43

Anyone got any teens to buy for? This looks great...

Cosmopolitan branded vanity case with makeup brushes, tanning MIT, false lashes etc down from £29.99 to £9.99 in the Argos sale!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2014 19:49

Beany have you tried the book people or the works?

wigglesrock · 24/07/2014 19:56

The Works, B&M, Home Bargains & Poundland usually have rolls of stickers. At the minute my cupboards are wearing a fetching combination of Ben & Holly, Peppa Pig and Dora!

Beany, i love the melissa and doug sticker Collections. You get 700 stickers, different themes - ballerinas, princesses, animals etc in one pad and they are v good quality. I get them on amazon. The collection aimed at girls is called melissa and doug sticker collection pink (!) and is currently £3.49 as an add on. (rrp £4.99).The boy one (no surprise that it is entitled "blue") is only £2.49 as an add on and the fashion one is just £1.96. They last for ages!
Hope that helps

You other bargain hunters will understand my excitement of this. I bought the barbie convertible car earlier in the year just because it was so so cheap. I was with my LO earlier this week and she spotted it in Tesco and said she Needed it and loved it. I was so pleased as its the first thing (apart from Elsa) that she has really wanted and she is getting it (cheap!)

nickdrakeslovechild · 24/07/2014 22:45

Tesco direct are doing some good deals again St Moriz gift sets between £1 - 2.50 here and christmas candles between £1 and £1.75 here

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/07/2014 22:46

Tesco are doing branded make up cheap as well.

nickdrakeslovechild · 24/07/2014 22:47

Cant get the St Moriz link to work, if you go to tesco direct and search by St Moriz it will come up.

Maryhill Tesco had a stand with lots of craft bits reduced tonight - felt tips 35p, 3 pack of paint brushes 35p, make your own finger puppets/monster/plant pot holder 85p, Pritstick PVA glue tub 55p. Also had paint your own canvases, notebooks and craft bits reduced too. Not sure if it will be nationwide

nickdrakeslovechild · 24/07/2014 22:49

ooh my local tesco had craft stuff reduced too, I had completely forgotten about that so yes must be national.

MonoNoAware · 24/07/2014 23:38

My (well DD's) Elsa dress from aliexpress arrived today. It is super quality (far, far superior to normal fancy dress, more of an actual dress IYSWIM)

Sadly, the sizing is out though (was advised not to size up). I ordered 'US age 5' for DD who is 4 yrs 3 mths with the idea that it would last her from now until she gets a 'proper' one later in the year. The one they sent is "110cm" (which is, indeed, the standard size 5 in the UK and US) but very short and tight on her. The next size up would have been perfect.

She can just wriggle in, but only with help. All that said, I paid less than £5 inc delivery, and it hasn't put me off ordering more clothing through aliexpress.

livinginhope87 · 25/07/2014 06:11

Mononoaware - can I ask which one you ordered please? Thank you.

TheFutureSupremeRulersMum · 25/07/2014 06:52

The Science Museum is having a summer sale. Lots of cool stuff for kids and adults. I've got my SIL a flask wine carafe for £9 and my cousin's children seascopes for £11.

MonoNoAware · 25/07/2014 07:55

This Elsa dress livinginhope. It was £4.81 when I ordered it, but prices do change.

EvilHerbivore · 25/07/2014 07:59

The Mario figures I ordered from Ali Express arrived yesterday too (they originally said a week to arrive but then sent a text saying there would be a delay due to Ramadan and apologising so it was 2 weeks in the end- still pretty fast though)

They're plastic and quite lightweight/hollow inside where I thought they might be a bit more solid or filled in but they look exactly like the characters and £6 for 18 figures certainly beats the ones I was looking at over here at £20-ish for 5!

For what DS1 wants to do with them (make up little games and throw them around rather than serious collecting) they're really great value and I'm really pleased, they'll fill up some of his stocking nicely Grin

EvilHerbivore · 25/07/2014 08:07

Just bought these too, for £1.61 its worth a punt as to what they're like as little gifts

NorksEnormous · 25/07/2014 09:19

scooters

This elc scooter is half price, reduced to 17.50- looks like a good one! Pink or blue.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 25/07/2014 11:10

Does anyone happen to have a spare ELC birthday code? I have a basket sitting with £180 worth so 20% off would be amazing! Thanks
