Lottie, my dd was eleven in April and her friends lovedthe finger lights I out I their party bags! A couple of weeks later anianother friend had a disco party and they all wore their finger lights there.

Lucysmam, this wasn't in the party bag section but in a separate clearance section where they have all sort ofrandom bits and bobs reduced so probably best to look there if your tesco has one.

WaitingForMe · 19/06/2014 22:02

Depends on the kids Lottie. Mine are 9, 6 and 19mths and I know they'll love them but DSS1 is SN and both he and DSS2 adore DS so it may be they use theirs entertaining DS.

But DH and I had to put them away. After a glass of wine we were having a bit much fun making patterns on the cream kitchen cabinets Blush

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 19/06/2014 22:03

Ooh lucysmam I never thought that they could be used as little reading torches - great idea! I've ordered some more for my DC again this year as I think 1 stopped working and a couple have been mislaid!

NewShoesTwoShoes · 19/06/2014 22:25

I got this Ping Pong / Table Tennis set for £5 in John Lewis today - comes with 2 bats, balls and a net that you fix to a table. I'm planning to use it as a family present or a Secret Santa. Ping Pong Set

NewShoesTwoShoes · 19/06/2014 22:37

Baby socks in Xmas designs - reduced to £1.80 from £6.
Pink Penguins - size Newborn, 0-3
Blue Snowmen - size Newborn, 0-3, 3-6

WisemansBridge · 19/06/2014 22:58

Those finger lights are great party bag fillers, they went down well at my dd's party. Also good for wearing to shows/discos.

WisemansBridge · 19/06/2014 23:00

Oops no idea why my earlier post repeated itself Blush. Bloody phone!

They have a shelf of randomness that moves about for some reason, I'll hunt that down instead, thanks Wisemans

Uptheairymountain · 20/06/2014 07:45

My local Home Bargains had Jill Murphy's Large Family books at a bargain 59p each, so I got the full set. Should hopefully be national!

I followed these threads from September last year (under a different name) and have been lurking quietly this year.

The Works has one of its fairly frequent 30% off discount days. These do pop up every couple of months so not a huge event in itself, but worthy of mentioning here because there is some minecraft stuff that has already been discounted once which the 30% is working on.

For example Minecraft creeper box heads (they have other designs too) are just over £9 with the discount, the 12" plush creeper toys are £14 (it's not the 14" one with the sound, but it's a larger alternative to the 7" ones that are £8 elsewhere). You need to make the order up to £20 to get free delivery and enter code FLASH30 at the checkout. They sell lots of useful office type stuff like sellotape if you need to make the order value up. You can combine the offer with their usual £10 for 10 books deal, although you don't get a further 30% off the £10. Don't forget to use topcashback or one of the other cashback sites for another 18.18% off Shock

Not fantastic bargains, but official minecraft stuff never is!

MonoNoAware · 20/06/2014 09:40

Another minecraft one. Definitely not a bargain, but one you might not have heard of is endertoys, custom printed minecraft figures (4" or 7", so larger than the standard 3" minecraft figure packs) and printed with the skin of your choice (e.g. a popular skin like Stampy, or you can upload one of your own)

They cost $9.99 (£5.86) for a standard 4" figure or $14.99 (£8.80) for the same 4" figure but with moveable legs too. They also have 7" figures at $22.49 plus badges and keyrings. Shipping is approx £3 for up to 2 4" figures and £6 for 3+

My mini microscope from Amazon just arrived. They weren't joking when they said mini! It'll be a good stocking filler though.

curlingandtwirling · 20/06/2014 11:48

L'Occitane Summer Sale now on! HERE

I ordered some of the bargains for presents last year and my sister still raves about hers.

NorksEnormous · 20/06/2014 12:36

blue nose tatty teddy figures 10 pack reduced to £4.99 in argos

DD loves them (mind you I paid full price Angry ) and last time i was in home bargains i bought her the car which was only £3.99 which is a massive bargain for it!

hope it helps someone

Bettyhen · 20/06/2014 12:37

I just received my bird house key ring holder. It's not great to be honest, it didn't come in a box and I didn't realise it was plastic. Obviously it only cost a couple of pounds but it looks it, I definitely won't be giving it as a gift.

Love this thread though got great stuff last year and a few things already this year.

Keeping my eyes peeled for bargains to share! Grin

Patilla · 20/06/2014 12:37

I'm still waiting for my delivery of a microscope, how small is it then Haveyouheard?

WisemansBridge · 20/06/2014 13:19

Betty I completely agree about the bird houses. I've kept the one I bought for myself because it looks quite cute on the wall and is handy as I'm always lisigw my keys but the one I'd earmarked as a gift will be going in the charity bag. (Is it wrong that I'm chuckling to myself about us all piling in and buying too-small-microscopes and jiffy bagged plastic bird houses? Grin).

I went into Poundland to have a look for the Frozen flannels as mentioned upthread but sadly my local shop didn't have any. They did however have Frozen hand wash and detangling spray.

Mama1980 · 20/06/2014 13:22

My microscope arrived too it's about a inch square really. But my ds (6) has been out trying it this morning in the garden and it actually works well and the light thing is useful if you're looking at flowers/leaves etc it's bright enough to illuminate them.
My pandora stuff also arrived, the watch is much more beautiful than in the pics, my dd is gonna be thrilled. Can't believe it was only £30 (down from just over a hundred)

MayhemMostDays · 20/06/2014 13:24

Is the Pandora stuff still on offer? Can anyone link pretty please Smile

Mama1980 · 20/06/2014 13:32

I can't link I'm on my iPad but it's jewelrepublic.co.uk no idea if it's still on offer sorry Smile

chanie44 · 20/06/2014 13:54
