Moving to Bromley- Advice on Primary Schools

Hi all I am moving to Bromley from Cardiff in Wales. DH has just got a job at kings college hospital. We have heard good things about primary schools in Petts Wood, Bickley, Chislehurst, Crofton Park to name a few.
I have two DC- younger DD in reception and DS in year two currently. Not having much time to prepare as this was a sudden relocation.
I have been calling around a few schools to find vacancies but most schools won't advise me on vacancies and I am being asked to go via the Council. The only school I have had some luck with is Oaklands Biggin Hill who have two spaces available now! Could anyone provide me some feedback on this school please and Biggin hill area for young professional families?
Any other good primary school suggestions would be welcome.
I assumed in year transfers would be easy and could be done directly by schools but I seem to be wrong! It's still a long drawn process.

Not entirely sure you've posted this in the right place. Were you after Mn local?
