curious why? It's still Christmas way after Boxing day. I've done a bit of tidying and hoovered today but thats it. Time to just relax

Just before Twelfth Night. It's only been up just over a week so am in no rush.

I don't blame those who put their trees up at the beginning of December for wanting to take them down sooner, however.

Took ours down today firstly we had a leak and water down the wall behind the tree so need to get it cleaned and remained, it's dd2 birthday next week and I like a clutter free house for a few days before all the birthday decorations go up and having new flooring put down next week too!

1st or 2nd Jan. Much as I love the tree, it's dropping a bit and 6th jan is waaay too long.

In fact, on checking, our tree has only been up for approx six days!

Summerlands our tree has only been up since last Saturday too so we'll be leaving it all up till twelfth night and the crib will be up to as near Candlemas (2 February) as possible because I love it Smile

Just because I always think the Christmas trees look a bit sad after christmas is over...

I love getting rid of it all as the presents are sorted and put away, more space for DD to play, less clutter, the chance for a good clean. I'm like a regular Christmas elf before christmas, we go to so many shows, do an advent calendar of days out, hamper from elves, Christmas parties, go absolutely mad on presents.... but I just can't carry it on past Boxing Day Wink

I just did mine Blush
DD got a massive kitchen and a play tent. Just wanted the space desperately.

Ours went up on 20th, it'll come down on 7th once LO is back at nursery, I don't got back to work until 8th, so can spend that day packing it all away at leisure.

The tree is tucked into a corner so not in the way at all. And it is fake, so no shedding.

I would happily take it down on Boxing Day but will wait until 1st/2nd January.

Ours came down yesterday, I love putting it up in early December but by Boxing Day I am itching to get it down.

Ours went up on the 15th and will come down on the first Sunday in January (5th)? I like to do it when the children can help and then everything can be packed away before DS's birthday on the 8th. I'll miss it - I went for a mooch round the shops this afternoon and it was lovely driving home in the dark and seeing the trees lit up in people's houses. I think that for the first few days after it goes the house looks incredibly bare. Like elQuinto ours is tucked away (in the bay window) and is fake.

We're taking it down next Saturday, when it will have been up for exactly four weeks.

Ours came down yesterday. I would have done it on Boxing Day night except I was too tired!

we will do it on the 5th this year because the boys go back to school on the 6th and I want to have a good clean through once they go back

Mine is all away and no trace of Xmas here, day after Boxing Day is the day I get shot of it all. It's not christmas anymore!

I think it's still Christmas. Twelve days of Christmas and all that. Children are off school and we're visiting relations at the moment.

Today. Don't like it hanging around once Boxing Day is over but we were away until today.

New Years Day here.

I want the red/gold/green Traditional Christmassey cosy-ness gone and replaced by the cool icy clean lines of silver/white/purple/ice-blue of New Year ( But only on the dining room table. Then that's gone on the 2nd)

New Year's Day for us. I love my christmas decs and have them up for the month of December, start to finish. Like 70isaLimitNotATarget I like to embrace the new year in a clean environment.

Really looking forward to sitting down New Year's Day in a clear living room and watching Sherlock.

This is the year of the Great Christmas Tree Takedown in my home as we have a five month old kitten. She began her campaign as soon as the tree went up. I intend to remove what remains of it around the 4th as the crashing of ornaments is keeping me up at night.

I'll take mine down next Sunday, the day before I go back to work and DS goes back to nursery Smile

I'm away all this week though, and was away the week before Christmas, so I feel like I've hardly had any time to enjoy my decorations really Sad
