can anyone help with a cooking question?

Bought a butcher made three bird roast, this weighs 1.5kg and is chicken breast stuffed with turkey fillet and duck breast, as well as sage and onion stuffing and bacon on top.

I (foolishly) assumed cooking instructions, but none are on the bird when we collected it today. If I apply the 30min per half kg plus 25min that'll be 1h 55min. And then resting time.

Thoughts very much appreciated

No idea (I'm aware how crap that is!) Google? :/

I've tried and not got a definitive answer.

I would cook this for around 2 1/4 hours.

does it look the size of your average large chicken? If so I would say approximately 2 hours but with plenty of resting time.

I would cook a simlar sized chicken for around an hour 15 but this will be densely packed with stuffing so will need longer as above. If you cook it somewhere around the 2 hr mark you aren't going to poison anyone.

Could you use a meat thermometer?

BigWellyLittleWelly · 24/12/2013 22:18

I don't unfortunately have a meat thermometer.

Half an hours resting time should be enough?

more than enough

Ok. Just to feedback, was absolutely delicious but possibly slightly overdone, two hours in a 180ºC fan over covered after an hour.
