Because I do, my children's excitement coupled with the fact that even though I know it isn't real, just for that minute or two it feels like it is.

I love the feeling of that excitement waiting for Santa! Tbh we haven't started the kids tracking yet although I have checked the app on my phone. Once our guests have gone I'll load it up!

DS is definately trying very very hard to cling onto santa belief. It is sweet really. He is asking to see this site and saying that he wants to go to bed NOW!

Onelittlebugbear · 24/12/2013 17:44

I just want my child to go to bed.
I'm getting teary about how annoying he is.

Iamaslummymummy · 24/12/2013 17:51

What do you mean it's not real? :o

WoodBurnerBabe · 24/12/2013 17:57

Mine are loving it! In Russia at the moment, they've taken themselves off to bed now though...

oopsadaisyme · 24/12/2013 18:11

Norad loaded!! onelittle what time you expecting the 'Marleys' at yours - tiny tim needs his turkey!!!!

Erebus · 24/12/2013 18:15

I love Norad! But in so many ways, the existence of it is a chronicle to my years- I mean, isn't Norad the system North America set up to detect incoming Soviet nuclear warheads? That doesn't mean its a dreadful and terrible thing at all- it is a badge of the West's vigilance. And why Russia is a bloody nuisance rather than the 'very scary' it was when I was 14) DS1's age) back in 1976.

Said DS1 asked, a bit concerned, whether he'd get a stocking seeing as -ahem- he's not sure about Santa any more. I calmly told him that those who still believe get stockings, so he, on cue, assured me he was a believer... Liar. Love it.

I know. I'm not very festive.
I loathe christmas.
It means spending time with people I hate.

oopsadaisyme · 24/12/2013 18:29

onelittle at least your honest haha!!!! I'm gonna eat a mince pie for you and send you some merry wishes!!! (as for the people you hate, that's what overindulging and falling asleep on the sofa was invented for!!) X

More like bored to tears with DS's running commentary of where santa is now and how many millions of presents he has delivered so far. This has bee going on since around 9am and I am seriously considering unplugging the internets- only the fact i would lose MN too is stopping me!

JollySantersSelectionBox · 24/12/2013 19:35

Love the fact that they do this full stop.

And Prof Brian Cox made that little clip on BBC lying in the snow staring at the stars saying that he believed Santa could do it.

So if the Prof says it can happen, then who are we to argue. Grin
