If I go to the supermarkets on Boxing Day, will I really get enough salmon and turkeys to last me for months?

Half price and everything. Or is this just a rumour designed to get me into the shops to buy more food?

You never know what there will be. It may be bare, there may be giant bags of carrots for 5p. There may be excess stock wilting on the shelves with no signs of reduction. Reductions may be end of day.

Sometimes they reduce in the last hour on Christmas eve so its a clear start post Christmas.

I was in tesco just before lunch and there was loads of stuff reduced and all the turkeys were 1/2 price.

MarlenaGru · 24/12/2013 16:04

There were people hovering in M&S as the last 10 or so turkeys were awaiting reduction...

I was in Booths just now & they had £48 fresh free range bronze Norfolk turkeys for £16 Shock

Only 2 though. Anyway we're having rib of beef & roast pork & the freezer is a bit rammed. But I really wanted to get one!!!

Bought our free range bronze turkey for £12 from Tesco this afternoon at 66% off. Am putting the small turkey crown I bought yesterday (at more than twice that price) into the freezer for New Years Day.

Also bought our 8ft Christmas tree today (always put ours up on Christmas Eve, family tradition) for 1p from B&Q. Similar size one at local farm shop was £80!!

Lovely christmas bargains!
