You can't give her a mooncup, that's like giving her loo roll!

HappySunflower · 23/12/2013 11:38

What was her original gift?

Queenofknickers · 23/12/2013 11:40

Really nice Laura Ashley massive gift set .....

We just got a card through the door from a minicab company suggesting a voucher for their services would be a brilliant present. It struck me that the kind of people who stand banging on the doors of closed shops at 5.01pm on Christmas Eve would find that a useful service. Would it meet your need, Queenofknickers?

Queenofknickers · 23/12/2013 11:46

Fab idea LondonMother but we live in dull hamlet and nowhere to go! SIL would never get in a mini-cab if her life depended on itGrin

Petrol station flowers?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/12/2013 11:55

Bottle of Prosecco and big bunch of flowers - can think of far worse things to be given.

fossil971 · 23/12/2013 11:55

Stop at a garden centre or supermarket
Buy really nice big blank greetings card plus a little box of soap or toiletries

Draw a picture inside of your present and a humorous explanation of why it will be arriving in the post in a few days

Hopefully she will see the funny side

AryaofhouseSnark · 23/12/2013 11:55

Just phone / text to explain and give her the present after Christmas. She would u to get arsey about it.
It will be nice to get a gift in January anyway, it will help combat the post Christmas blues.

Queenofknickers · 23/12/2013 11:59

Ooh I have prosecco in cupboard and its Waitrose so she will approve ! And we have a garden centre nearby! Plus she has birthday in Jan so she can have gift set then! Thank you MN!!!!!!Grin

:)

You can get garden centre vouchers. Dp and I had great fun spending one earlier in the year.

Give her the moon cup Grin she sounds a bit stuck up so it would be worth it to see her face

Or you could come clean and tell her you left her gift at work and tell her she can have it late.

Sainsburys have lovely half price hampers, as do M&S.
