Goes anyone else not do stockings?

Or am I just a big meanie?

We never had stockings as kids, neither did DH so it's not a tradition we've taken up.

The DCs get a present at the end of their beds and the rest under the tree. So far we've got away with it!

It's not mean if it's not your tradition. We3 always had pillowcases Grin but dh never had stockings. He announced he wouldn't be lying to our children about Santa when I was expecting dd1. So I told him he could rethink that or get out Grin He rethought it. He still doesn't totally get it but goes along with it. We wouldn't do it though if it wasn't a tradition I love and 'get' iyswim.

we usually do them but not this year. We've spent so much on our 3dds and none of it is small enough to fit in. I don't want to go and fill one with any old shit like pencils, socks, bobbles etc as its would only be buying rubbish for the sake of it.

I have bought them a large box of celebrations each and dd3 a huge gorgeous gingerbread man. the older two know and are not bothered at all.

We don't. I am contemplating it this year if I can find a few nice bits and actual stockings tomorrow. The thing is we only live in a small flat and there is no way that DS1 will not see his football table before opening the stocking though, so may not be worth it.

My parents never did stockings.

Never had one in my life!

Dd is 14 months, and from the age of about 3, im going to make sure she gets one every year!
