It's in a display in a shop and dd2 wants it so badly but I had vetoed on grounds of madness

wow - that looks like a real collectors item, my guess is if you kept it well and she got bored of it you could probably get some of your money back selling it on at a later date.

Ooh I twitched alarmingly today, walking back an fourth between things at Sainsburys today just cos things were reduced and cigs dd has more presents than ds - but he has a £170 iPod.. I twitched, scratched n bought

Dd has Buckbeak - can't see if same one as link doesn't work in app. She is also 11y and got it last year at Wizarding World. Dd has a few of the HP soft toys - she loves them.
I remember FC getting her the cat - came from US and was a pain to get hold of as Amazon us wouldn't ship to uk. Had to go via someone we knew in US. Ended up being costly but was worth it even if it did look like road kill to me and dh - ESP after being vacuum packed lol!

My ds2 had buck beak, he loves him. It is a beautiful toy. Get it!

It's not the same one that you can get from Harry Potter world - she'd have been very happy with that one but it isn't the same. It's more of a collector's item I suppose (tries to convince self). She has a bit of a thing about Buckbeak and when she saw this in the shop she was breathless with excitement and her face fell to the floor when I said it was almost 60 and no way. Dh thnks I am crazy so we'll see how it goes on Xmas morning. I can afford it although it's come out of my new boots budget, hey ho.

Having read the thread about nose piercing I now feel delighted that dd2 wants a cuddly Buckbeak for Xmas and really glad that I've bought it
