Can I get away with doing a curry? Smile. His dad and I have been separated nearly 2 years, last year we all went to DS's (aged 20) girlfriend's family. This year girlfriend's sister is heavily pregnant and he's going there.

DS (20) will probably sleep till noon anyway.

Am feeling a little sad. we always used to do lovely Christmas food . . .

Yes you could make do with a curry but I wonder if it will make you feel more sad? I think I would still do a traditional Christmas dinner plus a few extra treats, ie chocolates, baileys etc. Maybe choose a film you and your DS could watch together in the afternoon? Whatever you decide I hope you have a lovely day and wish you a Happy New Year. :-)

its worth checking to see if M&S have their £10 meal on offer. Last week they had a rolled poultry breast, meat joint, veg, pud and wine so similar to a roast dinber. All you need to do is add extra trimmings and gravy to make it into a proper xmas lunch. The portion size is perfect for just 2 so there will hardly be any waste.
