Gaaah will there be any food in the shops left on Monday?

I'm travelling up to see family tomorrow (200 miles!) and Monday is the earliest I can do the big Xmas shop. Click & collect won't be ready until 26th Dec and noone is able to get to the shops today or tomorrow to get turkey etc.

Will there be anything left in the shops on the 23rd? We don't need a proper turkey, just a ready-to-roast breast will do, but I'm worried even that will be sold out :(

Any solutions welcome!

They'll have loads in don't worry.

Most places tend to over order at this time of year anyway.

I bloody hope so!! Monday afternoon is literally the ONLY time I can get to the supermarket and get a lift back instead of having to try and book a taxi.

(I had an online shop booked but moving house & it'll now come from a different store & no slots left )

Every year I did my shopping on the 23rd and they always had everything in.

Of course it will be fine. Why would you do the shopping before then? Bizarre. Food is best eaten fresh- esp at Christmas!

I've never done the big shop any earlier than the day before Christmas Eve.

Now stop panicking and have some . Yes I know it's only half two but I'm off to a Drinky Nibbles At Home Thing in about five minutes and might as well start like I mean to carry on...

I did my big food shop on thursday, thinking that today would be manic - but I just had to nip into tesco to change something and the place was really really quiet - less busy than a normal Saturday. I reckon most people are getting deliveries. You'll be fine.
