A pyjama.
A film.

Finito. Thats it, for each of them.

I think ds1 (11) would want proper headphones for game play/skype and also music, so possible to plug into both Iphone and pc.

ds2 (8) would probably need headphones for his ipod, and an itunes voucher (he is getting ds1s old ipod)

If the dixons is a decent size one then could get an air-popping popcorn machine? Not v expensive, gadgety and fun - I would imagine a pair of boys might find that fun.

Headphones also a good idea, plus I think a decent selection box always goes down a treat. If you're near a big supermarket you could check out the computer games/films they have on the pretext of getting more xmas food in. Despicable me is supposed to be awesome.

Hairgel is always requested in our house. Chocolate orange in stocking, loads of shops have little stocking fillers.
Could even get mini cans of Coke etc.

Mellowandfruitful · 21/12/2013 00:27

Headphones at the airport is a good idea. That's the kind of thing I would expect to see. Plus gift vouchers/cards, and some snacks/hair products and you're sorted.

OutragedFromLeeds · 21/12/2013 00:31

They usually have a Boots at the airport, that's good for hair gel, bath stuff etc. They might have some gift sets in that would appeal to boys.

There's always a WH Smith as well so books, stationary, magazines?

Some airports have Hamleys as well....

MacaYoniandCheese · 21/12/2013 00:32

Sorry, OP. I misunderstood your post. My 8 and 12 year old would go nuts for any kind of voucher or gift card. Hope you get it sorted, feel better soon and have a restful Christmas with your family Flowers.

Book them a trip to Disneyland Paris. Job done.

Which airport is he flying from? Most airport websites have a list of stores and you can ring and reserve at some of them which could help.

raisah · 21/12/2013 08:44

Bulk out the pyjamas by adding fluffy socks, hot bottle, mug, hot choc & marshmallows. All can be picked up from tescos etc.

That then links in with the movie night hamper with dvd.

Have you got stockings? Buy a bath set each & split into each stocking. Bulk out with stationary, pens, crayons, undies, socks, satsumas & chocolate. Poundshops are good for this.

You can preorder from currys at airport I think. Check website. Then look see what they have. Airports are great shopping opportunities (but bear in mind that my only local shop is Tesco and I am 10 miles from even so much as a a h smiths). So fat face, accessorize, currys, ooh loads of shops. You need to make sure DH gets there early enough or see if You can pre order things via website. I am so jealous...

I've just had an email saying Virgin Experience and Red Letter Days both have money off all activities, is there something they would enjoy doing once you're back in the UK?

Rubybrazilianwax · 21/12/2013 10:49

definitely get a boardgame, then it can be something fun to do on christmas Day.
