I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

I have seen a lot of people talking on other groups about Approved Foods. For those that haven't seen it, this is a place where they sell some products close to or passed their "best before date". They say this on the matter:
'Some of the goods sold might be approaching or past their best-before date, also known as short dated. Best before is an estimate of how long a product will remain at optimal quality. We do not sell products that are beyond use by dates.'
I see loads of people posting photographs on some groups about how much stuff they got and how they paid a fraction of what it would have cost at Tesco or Asda etc. This includes something called "1p bags" which pop up from time to time on there. If you have already heard of them then you probably know all about it already. If you haven't already heard about them, then why not go have a look at what they sell via the link below. It's got to be worth a try:)
Approved Foods

Reastie · 14/04/2014 07:07

On the subject of approved foods, I've done a couple of orders with them and have found some items are very battered/broken/opened and a few bits I've thrown away. It's great value for some bits but postage is about £5 on top of the order.

dandelionsRflowers · 14/04/2014 09:46

I agree Reastie I doubt I'd order again from them.

ValiumQueen · 14/04/2014 13:15

Approved foods are very good if you contact them about a concern. I have had money credited after mistakes and broken items. It is worth looking for items that give a postage saving bonus, and I always look at the overall cost including postage to assess if I am getting a good bargain.

I am sick of bloody couscous though after ordering six pallets of the bloody stuff.

30% of clothing at Jakes of Soho, enter JAKES discount code at checkout. My DH loves the tshirts from there so I'm stocking up... They're quite expensive normally so I only ever buy them for him when there is a discount.

daddykyller · 16/04/2014 20:44

That's the type of thing I might like Gooseygirl- thanks.

Found some amazing stuff on a great group called Bargain Hunters tonight. Just bagged us 10 packs of 64 wipes for £7.78 off amazon. Great stuff. Will definitely be checking there before shopping.

daddykyller · 17/04/2014 23:50

LOL at InkleWinkle

We've got a few bits stashed away. We're aiming to have 90% covered by November by picking up stuff when it's on sale or using vouchers etc :)

Reastie · 18/04/2014 07:03

Inkle being that it's April that only gives us 8 months (or 32 weeks) for shopping. It's very sensible if you ask me :)

I went into M&S the other day and they had dregs of the sale on childrens clothes and in my local they had loads of pink and white spotty pjs from £12.99 to £2.99 so bought 3 pairs in various sizes, not sure whether I'll keep for DD or give as presents.

To follow daddys point on tesco direct, they have 25% off little tikes garden toy stuff.

daddykyller · 18/04/2014 12:44

Just a message about a big sale -Think amazon are trying to start a price war with argos- after they cut prices on toys the other day- Things like the Imaginext Castle is a whopping 69% off right now on Amazon - mow £19.99. Lots of other prices on toys
are well down. Might be worth buying now for birthdays and Christmas Imaginext Castle
