I didn't even realise the last thread was nearly at the end Blush

As usual I'll stick the long OP in the next message, but haven't been so diligent about keeping it updated since it's so close to Christmas and it's all slowed down, sorry.

OP posts:

Dotcomgifts is a dangerous place Blush

ValiumQueen · 25/01/2014 19:27

£40 for stocking fillers and party bags and a few vintage bits and bobs for me. Used the 10% off code too, so effectively free postage, which I love.

daddykyller · 26/01/2014 08:28

There's money off lots of perfumes/aftershaves on Amazon just now. Great for Valentines and Mother's day

Sory- meant to put this on my last post- The Trash Pack Science Msgic set is down to £9.99 from £17.99. These kits are great- will keep the wee ones busy for hours trying to practice the tricks:)

BornToFolk · 26/01/2014 11:59

House of Fraser have some Polarn O thingy stuff in their blue cross sale. I bought some trousers for DS for £14 reduced from some ridiculous amount.

Mipe · 26/01/2014 18:35

Dinosaur top trumps in a special tin for £3.35, they are an add on item so I got three :).

Reastie · 26/01/2014 18:35

Right, I'm going to pop to my local tescos tomorrow and see what's left :)

500internalerror · 26/01/2014 21:08

The tesco bargains I listed are online - but they still had entire bakugan arenas for £1 in our big tesco last week!

Has anybody used Approved Food before? I've seen a lot of people are raving about it on facebook and I'm tempted to give it a go.

craggyhollow · 27/01/2014 09:05

Watchshop have a good deal on the yellow Ice Watch if you have teens who covet them

Down to 30 and free delivery

BornToFolk · 27/01/2014 13:06

I've used Approved Food. You can get some good bargains but I find that quite a lot of self-restraint is needed to avoid buying loads of cheap chocolate/crisps/other junk food. Plus their delivery costs are quite high so it might be worth clubbing together with a friend. I find their service to be really good though

Reastie · 27/01/2014 13:09

daddy are we on the same fb groups?! I made my first approved foods order a few weeks ago and am v pleased with it. You know all the best before dates so know how soon you'll have to eat everything. Have been having some stuff a few months past it's best before ( Shock ) and it's absolutely fine. Great for me as they have some special diet stuff which is really expensive usually. We are thinking about doing a big order every couple of months or so. DH eats lots of junky snack things which they seem to sell alot of. Agree with born that delivery isn't cheap (think I paid about £5 for a £30ish order) so you need to make sure it's worthwhile. We are going to go halves with PIL next time I think to save on this cost.

champagnegoldfinch · 27/01/2014 13:12

daddy, I've used ApprovedFood before. They sell stuff that is close to, or beyond, its best-before date.

They are good every so often for stocking up. Not very quick delivery though (last time was about 10 days IIRC) and they use tons of packaging.

We usually get stuff like naan breads, curry paste, stir fry sauce, crackers, pasta, crisps etc. We got a box of 12 black bean sauces for 1p once! And we are still using them now only 18mo out of date.

LaTrucha · 27/01/2014 16:24

Fantastic gloves. Thanks!

daddykyller · 27/01/2014 20:10

Moshi Monsters Poppet Mega Mosh Ball just £3.82 on amazon right now. Grab em while they're hot lol.

daddykyller · 27/01/2014 20:14

Thanks for all the info about approved foods. I might give them a go to see what the fuss is about and if it's really worth it. It's got to be worth a try, right? :)

And that's where I've been seeing people talk about them-on face book. I'm in a few groups and there have been people talking about it in almost all of them. Just been wondering whether it's really worthwhile, or if I'm really better off just going to B&M, Home bargains and farmfoods:)

Play.com have a one day deal on today (Weds) for Converse trainers from £24.99 - although I have no idea how much they are normally to know if this is a good deal or not.

The Book People also have a flash sale on at the moment - box of 16 Michael Morpugo books for £15, 10 Bourne Collection books for £8, several rainbow fairy and beast quest collections for less than a pound a book, and loads more, both collections and single books.
