My first time hosting Christmas (and it's the ILs visiting us).

In my family (ie when DM is hosting) we just eat crisps and M&S nibbles, prawns and yummy things, dips etc in front of the TV (we do have a proper lunch!). I think this is perfect but MIL is a snob and I can't afford lots of M&S nibbles (and can't be bothered to make them).

I was thinking some sort of quiche / salad would be nice - any ideas? Magazines etc seem to neglect this area of Christmas catering! I may have some left over ham from Christmas eve. Don't want to eat lunch leftovers as that is a meal for the next day!

Sandwiches - turkey, smoked salmon, ham. Whatever's in the fridge, basically. And then we cut into the Xmas cake.

Cheers all! I have bought some fancy bread etc and shoved it in the freezer.
