That is what she told Santa today at nursery and apparently he told her she would get one. Grrrr. (She is 3). I have already got all her presents but don't mind getting her a cheap fairy. Any suggestions for one? Got to be high st as hardly any time left to go shopping.

What about holly from Ben and holly? She is a fairy Xmas Smile

Opheliabumps · 18/12/2013 23:29

Some fairy dust? Make your own using glitter/edible glitter, and tell her the fairy is there, but they're invisible to humans, so she can only see the glitter. Follow it up with a few tiny notes and treats, she'll soon believe her fairy is real.

BillyBanter · 18/12/2013 23:30

Maybe you can get her a fairy christmas decoration?

lostdomain · 18/12/2013 23:32

You can get remote control fairies that fly around the room. They were about £15 on Amazon last time I looked. Is that too much?

nancy75 · 18/12/2013 23:33

There are lots of barbie/moxie girl type fairy dolls

bellabelly · 18/12/2013 23:36

Fairy doors on amazon any good? Pack of 2 for a tenner. Come with fairy and fairy dust...

I love the idea of a remote control fairy!

jojane · 18/12/2013 23:37

Disney shop has tinkerbell and other fairies

SoloXantiaClaws · 19/12/2013 00:01

Last Christmas, Wilkinsons had little fairy dolls for sale. Don't know if they have them this year, but they were lovely and about £1.50.

mydaftlass · 19/12/2013 00:03

Try the schleich fantasy series. Baylaya, I think.

AnyFuckerWillDo · 19/12/2013 00:05

My DD keeps saying fairy too :) bought her the dressing up outfit complete with wings and wand...
She said today Santa was bringing her Ariel too Confused

IsleOfRight · 19/12/2013 08:30

Thanks all brilliant idea. Def remote control one for another year. Have ordered a schleich one on amazon as it'll come before Christmas.

See you have ordered the Schleich, but if the fairy interest keeps up, Playmobil also have a fairy series that is really nice!

snowmanshoes · 19/12/2013 11:14

I got my dd one year one of those fairy in a jar things. Its basically solar powered lights that light up in a sequence to make it look like the fairy is flying in the jar a la Tinker Bell. She really like it but it ate batteries so I had to change the story a bit and said when the lights stopped then the fairy had got enough strength to be out in the real world and that her job of looking after her was complete. She believed this and was thrilled she had been chosen as a 'fairy keeper' lol.

Ikea have some pretty ones

jimjamspam · 19/12/2013 11:58

I have bought DD a schleich fairy from the entertainer shop

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 19/12/2013 12:01

Family of fairy dolls here for anyone still looking.

Whatevertheweather · 19/12/2013 12:04

Empty clean jam jar, empty the contents of a glow stick in and some glitter and shake. Tis lovely you could add a teeny tinkerbell too

example here

MrsMangoBiscuit · 19/12/2013 12:06

Ooh, Ikea had a cheap fairy doll, and a fairy finger puppet last time I was in there. And dressing up bits to match. Will try to find a link.
