Don't panic!

I can't comment on M&S, but, Waitrose always have them. Four years ago I missed the ordering deadline (we were in the middle of a house move) and I bought everything in store on the 23rd and there was a good selection of different birds; whole, crown, rolled, big, small, chicken, duck and goose, to choose from.

I've not bothered ordering since.

Oh, Waitrose, good idea!

It's a bit further away.
Do I need to pre-order??

Thanks Xmas Smile

Iceland Grin my local butchers are still taking orders. Waitrose or Sainsbury's usually have them in fairly late on?

ilovepowerhoop · 17/12/2013 21:09

all the supermarkets will have fresh turkeys on the shelf. We have never had to pre-order

PacificDingbat · 17/12/2013 21:11

Ok, I feel reassured that we will not go without this Christmas, thanks all!

Our local butcher disappointed last year, so am not so keen to go back there tbh.
Supermarket it shall be.

You can pre-order (I don't know order their deadline for this year), but I don't bother.

Agree with the poster above. The queue for order pick up in M&S is awful.

Go early on any of the days before Christmas, and you'll be able to pick one up straight from the shelf.
