2yo DC2, what are you getting yours?

There already seems to be just about every toy I can think of in the house already from DC1 (5) !

Trying to avoid things with batteries.

Any suggestions? I suppose something to add to what we already have might be good, like more duplo, or a new glove puppet could work, but not particularly "specially hers" as it would be added to her sister's lego, and her sister's puppet show.

Budget is about £20 - £30

Thanks!

My dd2 is 3 in jan. She has asked for the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. It has a slide thing and as far as I'm aware, doesn't make noises!

A wooden jigsaw from Myriad Online (CBA to link on phone but it is first google result), more brio stuff, marble run additions for his marble run (inherited from DC1), playdoh stuff, art supplies, chocolate, Octonauts jigsaw (will be far better received than beautiful wooden one Grin), money box, little torch, little a4 whiteboard and eraser.

We are getting Playmobil ( to add to the collection we already have). I don't mind about things specially belonging to either DC, they tend to share everything anyway.

ChristmasJumperWearer · 16/12/2013 15:38

Playmobil 123 stuff? My DC2 has some of that but I don't think it was out when my DC1 (5yo) was that age.

pookamoo · 16/12/2013 16:50

I think it could well be more duplo. Seems a bit unimaginative though.

What does she like playing with?

What about a nice doll/rag doll that would be hers and only hers?

Your 2 year old is not going to think you are unimaginative! And the more Duplo you have, the better really, as you can build bigger and better things.

pookamoo · 17/12/2013 00:59

we do have an extremely large amount of duplo already owing to us having all of mine and DH's from when we were children as well as the DCs'! Blush

Mine is getting the Melissa & Doug sandwich making set and a money box shaped like a large plastic hamburger Grin Plus stocking bits, of course can't actually remember what is in there.

Getting dd2 a latches board www.treadlightlytoys.co.uk/latches-board-by-melissa-and-doug/
And also a little dolls house with keys www.treadlightlytoys.co.uk/doorbell-doll-house/
She loves fiddling with locks, keys and doors so it should keep her amused!! And hopefully it will save our keys from getting moved all around the house :)
Its so tricky buying for the second one isn't it, thankfully our youngest seems to have rather different tastes to her older sister which makes it a little easier.

DS is obsessed with Swashbuckle on Cbeebies. We've bought him a Fisher Price Little People pirate ship. The pirate looks suspiciously like Keith Lemon.
