Several years ago I was given a Ss gift that was basically a gift bag with lots of little things in it each with a note attached to it. I have never forgotten the nice feeling it gave me as it represented the time spent to make a nice present. I have no idea what I have received in any SS before or since so it did make an impression on me Grin

So .... I need some inspiration. I have .for example,
a novelty rubber that I can put a note like;
because we all make mistakes

and
a sparkly pen for those very important notes

Yes . I know thats rubbish but my brain is dead and I cant think of anything nice. I was hoping to come up with things relating to work/dreading being in work (Monday morning feeling etc) but nothings coming.

I have access to lots of shops so sourcing items isnt the problem .Its what to write .

Help me oh creatively gifted ones .

I'm not creatively gifted at all but what about chocolate with 'in case of emergencies' on it?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/12/2013 18:19

Handcream - A helping hand? Cringe-inducing but useful to have handcream at work!
Chocolate - in case of dementor attacks
Funky post-its

Tiny hand cream (boots do them)

Mini diet coke can - hoping the diet coke man will appear
Eye mask - close your eyes for 5 minutes and dream of being somewhere far away.

A minature bottle of wine - so you are never thirsty

Tabby1963 · 15/12/2013 20:15

...or you could do what I did for my secret santa and get a two pair set of sparkley black and white fluffy bedsocks from M&S, £5 Grin no imagination.

ineedanexcuse · 15/12/2013 22:08

Ooooh thank you . I can use the majority of these and maybe think of some of the back of some suggestions.

Tabby she has had a really bad year with miscarriage and abusive relationship (thankfully ended) otherwise I wouldnt put so much effort into it. 2 pairs of bedsocks would normally do nicely Wink

Update

Just wanted to report back on how it went.

The gift bag was really well received. In fact exactly as I had hoped when I wrapped each gift and wrote the little notes on each one.

There were squeals and hugs as she examined each little gift .She really appreciated the time and effort that went into the gifts -even though the amount spent was so small. Im so glad I went for the bag o' gifts and not the easy option of a bottle of wine which would have been a good second choice.

By the way .I got a lovely picture frame . I think we both did well. Grin
