How can we re-create the magic of Christmas in our family?

2 adults (one of whom is always exhausted on xmas day as he works in retail) and a toddler.

Ideas welcome on how to make it a special day!

A lot of it is atmosphere which is mainly created via music and light. So....carols on the radio or laptop....loads of fairy lights/candles if you can do them out of reach of toddler. Lots of nice food and drinks and a basic plan...nice films on tv too!
