Thinking of doing this on Sunday, it is a 2 hour journey so can't get there until 11( public transport) will I get in ok with merlin pass at that time? Is the bubble works open? What are Santa queues like? Has anyone been ?

Yes you can use your Merlin annual pass and yes bubbleworks is open as well as the hocus pocus house and a smaller fast boat ride. The queue last Sunday for Santa was an hour but we didn't queue as DC are too old. It was a nice couple of hours out but I don't think I would travel 2 hours to visit. There were a few restaurants and shops open, you could see most of the animals and the sea life was open.

Not sure I would travel 2 hours either. It's open there as well so if it's a cold day it's freezing. When we've gone on the past the longest we've lasted is 3 hours due to the cold, never done the santa thing though.

Thanks, I don't mind the 2 hour journey as will be more of a day out and we can perhaps stop off in London for couple of hours on way home if we fancy it . Was anyone getting turned away from gates or was it not that busy? Just worried that merlin pass doesn't guarantee entry if busy !

It's always been quiet when we've gone at this time.

Great I won't worry then, !
