We were blessed with our first child this year and I thought for Christmas it would be nice to pledge an ongoing donation to sponsor a child from a less developed nation.
Does anyone have a view on which might be the best charity? I'd like to pick one where we know the money goes directly to the child/ their community rather than wasted on admin etc
(I know it would be better probably to just give and not sponsor a child, but I like the idea of my son helping a less well off child and learning about it as he grows up).
