I've been so full of ideas for bringing Christmas spirit into the house that now we are in the home stretch and weve all been ill, I'm filling overwhelmed by it all.

I'd planned a whole, month of christmas films, wrapping, sedate christmas tunes in the background, magical laughter from DS...but now I'm full of cold and just exhausted and feel it's slipping me by

Please give me some quick fixes to get the christmas magic back...I've got a Pinterest board as long as my arm but what I need is quick mumsnet fixes. Tell me what to cook, bake, play, do - anything!

I'm in the same boat with a stinky cold and have decided to forget big outings and fancy crafts and baking this year. ds is still excited and I'm hoping to have it together enough by Christmas eve by 'baking' chocolate cornflakes clusters with him, watching a new DVD and reading some nice Xmas stories. But until then we're keeping a low profile!
Hope you feel better soon.

Today me and the kids decorated biscuits, saw it on pinterest. I got a pack of chocolate digestives and made some plain white icing. I spread a bit of the white icing on just the top bit of the chocolate and added a red sweet and two green sweets to make them look like puddings. So easy and hardly any faff. Kids thought it was fantastic!
