Can you tell baby is sleeping and I'm catching up on my MNing? Sudden flurry of posts!

DH and I have decided to try and view Christmas week as a holiday this year and enjoy the time off as a family, my last month of maternity and he won't get Christmas off next year. We have a 3yo (who i think is just beginning to get Christmas this year) and a baby and I'd like to plan things to do to stop us getting cabin fever.

I've found a children's cristingle and carol services at our church, and arranged some wood walks with various friends as well as possibly a winter beach picnic?

Any suggestions v welcome

Our garden centre has reindeer during December, and I used to take DD to see the reindeer, look at the decorations in the centre and then go to see Santa in his grotto.

Make paper chains, or decorate baubles for the tree.

My local mueum & all the London museum have Christmas themed crafts & activities. Google to see whats on in your area.

Hold a little tea party for your toddlers friends & your friends to catch up. Simple snack food & cakes, a few games but its more for the company really.

Snuggle up & watch a film

This year, we want to take the DC to see Frozen. People who have seen it say it is brilliant.

My DC also make Christmas gifts for family during this time. Sometimes it is a Christmas decoration, or something like that. This year, they are making tea towels. (Plain white tea towels + fabric pens = chess present!) they'll be given out as gifts, and my DC like making gifts for family.

If we get chance, we'll go to a pottery place to make decorations.

And we have lots of people over for little get togethers.
