Ideas for dads and fils?

Hi, just wondering what everyone is buying or has bought for their dads/fils? Really struggling with ideas for mine. Neither of them has any hobbies apart from football and I've already bought them football related stuff so need different ideas. They both tend to buy whatever they want or need for themselves so really stuck. I usually get a mixture of 'bits' - gimmicky things, games, slippers, socks, toiletries and I will stick to that as a last resort but hoping to find inspiration here. TIA

What about a nice bottle of whisky? (Just don't get one if they're the type to over indulge on xmas and fall into the tree!)

I have this problem with my Mum...find her so difficult as she just buys anything she wants or needs!

My Dad isn't so bad though...brandy or whisky always goes down well. He also has a hobby that we can always buy something for. And this year we've adopted him an animal and he actually asked for a chemistry set so that he could do some experiments with the GC. Love him

And we've bought FIL a bird box after a subtle hint.

I bought my dad a book about where he grew up a few years ago, lots of old photos and maps in it, it actually brought a tear to his eye!
