......where would you be right now?

Or in other words, where is that really safe place that I put them in January, that I thought I would instantly remember, 11 months later?????

According to DC we are already the last people in the whole world to put our tree up. I was going to surprise them in the morning by finding 'the elves' had put it up in the night.

Shed? Garage? Loft? Under the stairs?

cozietoesie · 10/12/2013 23:52

In with the Xmas tree lights.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/12/2013 00:06

You must have a drawer full of utensils and assorted tat?

Is it in the tree packaging?

Have you had an attack of organised and taped it to the tree trunk? (Ignore that if it's not a fake tree)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/12/2013 00:07

And when you find it, can you ask it where the Dickens my Costco glass baubles are?
Thing is, I'm not 100% sure I bought them, but I buy a new set every year..... so I must've done Xmas Confused

CrazyHamstersbigbaubles · 11/12/2013 00:11

Is it on a shelf ??
That's where I usually find small things .

While your at it if you come across some christmas cards I bought in the sale that would be great coz they seem to have jumped out of my unit and legged it Xmas Confused

In with

The shoe polish

A carrier bag with the fairy lights

The Bedside cabinet

Taped under the tree stand

The landfill having been thrown in in July after not recognising them during a sort out.

breatheslowly · 11/12/2013 00:19

Taped to the stand (we haven't put outs up yet, so this is a bit hopeful). You can replace them with other bolts - we did this once when the ones with the stand were too short. Obviously this relies on you having other bolts.

BillyBanter · 11/12/2013 00:50

Drill a hold in the floor to stick the tree trunk in.

It's bound to turn up as soon as you do that.

TheXmasLogIn · 11/12/2013 09:34

Nope, can't find them anywhere. definitely not sellotaped to the base or tree- that would have been far too sensible a place for me to put them. also can't be in the loft as the boxed up tree never actually made it back up into the loft this year Xmas Blush

I did however find the bolts that held DS's old cot together. Been looking for those for a while (actually more than a while-he's nearly 7yo) so I could get round to selling it. They fit the tree base quite well so I have shoved 3 in for now, until the proper one's turn up.

It means no extra cash for Christmas from selling the cot, while I borrow it's parts BUT we have a Christmas tree in our living room finally. DC are super excited and its only 2 weeks to go!!!!!

Well done. By a law of nature, you won't find the old ones until you buy new ones - but Hey Ho.

Xmas Smile
