Christmas card display solutions

In past years I am sure I have seen people selling stands, made variously from cardboard, plastic or metal, to which you can clip your cards and have them on display without having them cluttering up all the window sills and other surfaces.

I have never had one because our method of choic as always been to blu-tak them to the living room doors. However, it is just over a month since we redecorated our living room so all the paintwork and walls are still bright and shiny and lovely and I am not at all keen on fixing blu-tak to them this year!

Can I find a stand for the cards instead? Can I thump.

Does anyone know where I might get something like this. Or alternatively does anyone have any brainy ideas for making my own display stand. I don't mind simple craft stuff though I am not especially artistic.

We always just put a couple of pins in the picture rail and hang cotton between them. Doesn't do too much damage and looks nice.
My friend staples cards to a long ribbon and hangs it down the wall. You could pin ribbons to the top of you door maybe and then you would see the pin holes?

I had a metal stand and I wouldn't recommend them. The cards are slotted on to the loops, but always fell out, and if you have a lot of cards they are crowded together and you can't see them properly.

I do the blu tack on the door, have never made any stains.

You can get tiny pegs to attach cards to a ribbon or string.
