Present for 12yr old boy in foster care

Please can you help me find a present for a young lad currently being looked after by a friend of mine. He's had a really tough time over the last couple of years, I wanted to get him something cool but fun. I know very little about him as to what he likes, but do know that he's very bright. My budget is £25.
