'Expect'? No idea. A non-dropping one was £34.99 at my local garden centre (SE London). Cheaper for a standard one.

I asked about some trees today at a garden centre and was told £7 per foot. Our other garden centre would charge about £60.

for an artificial one? For a plain green one (no pinecones or snow tips etc) then they are £10 in B&M

Alwayscheerful · 08/12/2013 21:02

£38 no roots, non drop type or £30 - £35 for standard tree no roots.

Pollywallywinkles · 08/12/2013 21:03

I can't believe the price of real trees this year. At the garden centres I've seen six footers between £50 and £70.

ilovepowerhoop · 08/12/2013 21:05

homebase is showing cut ones online as between £15 and £35

SorrelForbes · 08/12/2013 21:11

We've been quoted £80 for an 8ft tree at our local garden centre (not affulent part of SW)!

browneyesblue · 08/12/2013 22:23

We got ours from Ikea - £25, and it comes with a £20 voucher for January. It's nice :)

notthefirstagainstthewall · 08/12/2013 22:27

Got mine from a local farm. Wanted a 5ft Norway spruce (the needle droppy one that smells divine) and was quoted £29 and £39 if I went to 6ft. In the end my perfect tree was nearly 6ft and he let me have it for £32.Lovely chap, lovely farm (SE)

unadulterateddad · 08/12/2013 22:34

winklewoman · 08/12/2013 22:42

8ft 6 inches, beautiful shape, very dense, £45.

MrsChristmasBungle · 08/12/2013 22:42

I paid £50 today for my 6ft tree.

ravenAK · 08/12/2013 22:46

£35 in West Yorks.

But it's nearer 7' & they did agree to put ds through the netting machine if he hasn't tidied his room by next weekend.

Apparently it took the work experience boy all lunch hour to free himself.
