I'm thinking of getting it for my db as I keep seeing it mentioned but I wondered if it's worth the money. It looks like some spices and recipe cards.
Anyone actually had it?

Yes, I blimmin love them. We had a Japanese curry tonight. It was lovely and unusual. I bought DH a 3 month subscription last Xmas and he renewed it for a year as he loved it so much.

You get a box (that fits through the letterbox) with receipe cards, explanation of the meal(s) and all the spices. We both enjoy cooking and like to experiment. We don't check what is being sent out and like the surprise each month. Sometimes we share with the DC or we invite friends over.

If you like a meal you can buy the spices again.

I haven't had a subscription but I bought a load of packs a couple of months ago.

Since I was giving most of them as presents, I felt it was my duty to test one first- it was delicious.

They have clear lists and instructions and, at least the one we had, are delicious.

love them. I've given gift subs in the past and they are always well recieved.
We often order bits and bobs from the sale section and never had bad meal. They are lovely to deal with too.

Agree with pps, I bought a few sale boxes last Xmas as stocking fillers and they went down really well.

Any promo codes going before I place my orders?

missmargot · 08/12/2013 12:16

SPICEBOX might give you 10% off! haven't tried it in a while. I'm a huge fan, I've had their subscription as well as buying their meal kits and also their huge range of herbs and spices. They are lovely people too.

I'm just making their chilli apple chutney and the house smells of Christmas.
If you sign up for their mailing list/ Facebook they fairly regularly post codes.
