I had to share! Elf on a shelf has come to stay...

I have been looking all over for the perfect elf to come and stay without any success.

But today I found twinkle thank you TKMaxx. I wrote a little letter and placed her outside our house ready for the DC to find when they got home from school. Anyway, they're totally made up with her .

This is the first year I have done elf on a shelf but would like to turn it into an annual tradition. Has anyone got any inspiration on the things Twinkle might get up to please?

Pinterest is amazing for elf ideas! I've been up at 5.30 making and doing elf stuff the past few days. Ds is truly loving it!!!

Look at what toys your dc's have and see if you can combine like elf at the zoo, elf racing barbie in a car etc etc

Does anyone else like the naughty ones on Pinterest where elf goes to a pole dancing club, gets arrested, gets run over by barbie

I will check out Pinterest when the DC are in bed. Don't want any little eyes seeing. I was a little worried about doing this in case the DC were disbelieving and it gave the game away. So far DD(5) is completely made up that Santa came to drop off Twinkle.

She came with a letter saying that Santa had sent her to help the DC be kind to each other as at the moment they are fighting and bickering all the time. It's working so far!

I wish you could post photos on this board. Twinkle is quite big for an elf on the shelf but was the best thing I could find that resembles an elf . Can't wait to get creative! I'm doing pancakes for breakfast so might have her doing something with the ingredients tomorrow morning.

leave the cupboard door slightly open with her reaching in for flour? Or do you have a dolls house? pop her in there cooking?
