We normally use goose fat for roast potatoes etc, but DBro's GF is a pescatarian and she's coming for Christmas. What fat is best?

Thank you.

Rapeseed oil - gets really hot but not smoky

Olive oil works well.

we generally use rapeseed too

You need a fat with a high smoking point if you want crispy roast potatoes - rapeseed is a good option.

Trex is fantastic for roast potatoes. We're not vegetarian but use it all the time.
