I would really appreciate ideas for a main present for a just turned five year old girl

I am a bit stuck as DD2 has a birthday just before chrstimas for which she is getting a lot of Playmobile (her favourite thing to play with). On Christmas Day her older sister will get a proper digital camera which is the kind of toy she will play with and show off all day so DD2 needs something of that ilk but not a camera and I don't want her to have a games console or anything like that.

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.

We've got both our girls these... I know they'll love them.

What's your budget? What sort of things does she like? My DDs main present is a dolls house and a leap pad ultra (both bought by very generous grandparents)
Would she like a dolls house? Or the playmobile hotel? Maybe a big puppet? (DDs main present from me) a furby?

Innotab 3 is only £35 on amazon just now as well

DD1 is 5. Doesnt have a main present as such as there's nothing big she wants.
Things she is getting
She has 3 large encyclopedias as she loves learning!
A teaching the time watch
Some Orchard games
Pillow pet
Tons of Disney store figures of the disney princesses.
Puppets
Hello Kitty diary

DD has just turned 5 and has a bike as her main present.

Other things she has are:

Playmobil pirate sets (pirate ship and castaway island).
Wooden dolls high chair and crib
Sylvanian families canal boat

Those are her 'big gifts' s to speak.

How about:-
A Doll, Doll's Pram or Doll's Highchair?
An impressive looking Marble Run?
Rapunzel Styling Head?
Magnetic Playcentre?
Dance Mat?

SunshineAndPeardrops · 04/12/2013 16:39

Also, Designafriend dolls are very popular:-

Here
Hama Beads
Wooden Castle
Roller Skates
I've heard lots of good things about this Zhu Zhu Hamster Set as well.

Thank you all, there are some great ideas here. I especially like the marble run and dance mat. I'm avoiding all screens and I worry that something like a Furby will be exciting for a week then disgarded forever which would be awful given the price.

I can spend up to £60 on her big present but if I spend that much I want it to be something she gets lots of play out of (like Playmobile except that's her birthday present).

DS has this puppet theatre along with some tellatale puppets which are lovely.

I've kind of got a Native American theme for my daughter this year. I've bought her a teepee- it's this one but it's cheaper on amazon- and a Native American dressing up outfit and a playmobil Native American camp.
