It is for a 40 year old woman who I actually like so I would love to get her something good. She is into horse riding, outdoors, just moved house, drinks wine. Any ideas, or can you tell me what you have given colleagues before.

One year DH got a packet of fags and a scratchcard which I thought was inspired!

I fit that description and I've been hankering after some earrings from Pia There are loads around £10 that I would love!

Wellie socks if she's mucking out at the stables.

A handcream if outdoorsy as Winter and stables isn't kind to hands.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/12/2013 19:15

Aveda do a mini version of their brilliant hand cream for about six quid. One of those and a nail varnish maybe?

Or a bottle of wine, some crackers and a cheese?

Or just a bottle of wine?

A thermal mug and some 'nice' instant coffee?

Voucher for local coffee shop?

raisah · 03/12/2013 19:21

In previous years I've recieved:
Handbag
pamper box
coffee hamper
scarf
perfume

If she is an outdoorsy person, then a flask or a thermal mug would be useful during the winter. Or have a look on Dotcom gift shop website for lovely gift ideas.

If you are local to the Berkshire/Oxfordshire boarders then this wine and brewery tour has good reviews. I've bought a few.

Mighty mug?

ThurlHoHoHow · 03/12/2013 21:03

This jewellery stands is pretty

This sock monkey kit is ridiculous but I want one!

janmoomoo · 04/12/2013 21:47

Those are all super helpful, thank you so much for the inspiration. Thermal mug or flask sound good, also wellie socks. And I love the sock monkey!

Better than wellie socks by far - long riding socks! Ear warmer/ head bands are also very equestrian chic! If she does dressage / has her own horse, you can get blingy plaiting bands on eBay these days which are pretty awesome...

Thanks for link Minor... never seen Pia before, i want one of everything! Smile
