£250 that can't be spent on vouchers, be given in cash or on lots of smaller items. What larger present would you ask for?

A large art print. I just got (with birthday money) a small framed print of a favourite piece for £60, but if I'd had the money I definitely would've got the bigger one for well over £100. I'm sure there's more expensive ones around. I love art, it makes me really happy to see my favourite pieces on my wall :)

A pair of boots
OR
a cheap city break (presuming the recipient already has passport and is financially able to get spends together etc)
OR
show tickets for 2 plus a meal (can be purchased as a deal)
OR
to be put towards a camera (or whatever fancy gadget)

MigGril · 03/12/2013 14:09

A new camera ours it's falling apart and that would buy a nice one.

DisneyAddict88 · 03/12/2013 14:14

tricky.... I much prefer lots of small bits to 1 big pressie but if I had to choose I would like

couple nights away for me and partner

tablet of some sort possibly the samsung tab or kindle fire one

tv/dvd for our bedroom

Lucylouby · 03/12/2013 14:19

I third the going away for a couple of nights suggestion. It's something we would never do as it's such a luxury and we couldn't justify spending that much on a holiday without the children.

I also love radley handbags and purses but 3 dc in and I can't see me getting a new radley bag any time soon.

wonderingsoul · 03/12/2013 14:23

going away deff..

failing that a phone or camera?

bodiddly · 03/12/2013 14:41

The trip away is a good idea!

Or a piece of art. That's a nice idea.

A stand mixer. Clearly not a KitchenAid, but...

HeirToTheIronThrone · 03/12/2013 15:34

A beautiful bike with a big comfy saddle and a basket. Preferably a pink one. A Pashley (in my dreams sadly!)

shootingstar1234 · 03/12/2013 15:36

A luxury Spa break :)

snowgirl1 · 03/12/2013 16:07

A helmet camera...but I'm into ski-ing.

A couple of new window panes or a new vacuum cleaner. Tough choice.

BeaLola · 03/12/2013 17:38

Camera or weekend away. Portrait of my DS

raisah · 03/12/2013 18:22

Do premium bonds count as vouchers/cash? If they do, then I would like A weekend away.

orangepudding · 03/12/2013 18:24

A new hob for my new house.

Ladyface · 03/12/2013 18:27

Mulberry purse or DKNY handbag.

TheWave · 03/12/2013 18:37

Booking someone to do a bit of DIY around the house. Say including putting in shelving/storage solutions, some hooks, a few lighting issues, lick of paint here and there for example.

I love special meals out and theatre but probably wouldn't want to spend so much.

Shed in front garden for easy but secure access to bikes.

Decent glass door etc to glass off the porch so more storage.

incogKNEEto · 03/12/2013 18:39

A puppy, together with accoutrements…lead, collar, bed etc Smile

bodiddly · 03/12/2013 18:43

them coming!

Russell and Bromley slouchy boots (although I think they are "only" about £180-190).

A handbag (there's a £250 bag thread going in style and beauty, I quite like the Michael Kors one someone linked too).

An all singing, all dancing mixer

A new winter coat (I'm sure I could find one I like for that budget)

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 03/12/2013 21:16

A Kmix, currently that price on Amazon

Elsiequadrille · 03/12/2013 21:23

A print of a painting I like.

An Orla Kiely purse.
