hoppingmad this is slightly more than a fiver (though it might be cheaper elsewhere?) but would your son be interested in this robot construction kit?

LucyTheValiant · 08/12/2013 16:12

Or hopping, this Day of the Doctor poster is on Amazon for £5.95? They have lots of other Doctor Who ones too, for less than £5.

LaTrucha · 08/12/2013 16:26

Moosey - thanks very much. I wasn't sure about the stitching on the back. I ordered some from Mango, although they didn't have a picture o the back Hmm which is a bit of a gamble and Shock Shock Shock I paid full price for the first time this Christmas! Not even cashback!

SpottyChristmasCakes · 08/12/2013 16:43

Yes Disney Smile

Funkybutnot · 08/12/2013 17:01

glittered thanks, ordered for DD lunchtime supervisor.

hoppingmad · 08/12/2013 17:06

Thanks Lucy, the posters look great. He has something similar to the robot already but might get one of those posters Smile

Penguinbeaver · 08/12/2013 17:13

Can anyone recommend any Christmas biscuit tins to distribute to distant rellies/neighbours? Need to get a few in ready, thanks

Frozenatchristmas · 08/12/2013 17:32

Marks and Spencer's have had lovely biscuit tins.

supermariossister · 08/12/2013 17:52

have now got to buy more biscuits for as I unwrapped and ate Cadbury onesBlush in my defence I'm Ill. hoping for another price drop on teksta

TwllBach · 08/12/2013 18:02

supermarios I ate the chocolates from the Chocolate Tasting club this week... they were meant for my mum Blush

cuddlymoomoo · 08/12/2013 18:04

Are those cheap Kindles the old version? I'm looking for a Fire - I think Confused.

I know this will never happen, but is there any chance at all that anyone has seen xbox ones in stock anywhere [pie in the sky emoticon] . . .

Reastie · 08/12/2013 18:09

According to a statistic I found online the average person spends 2.5 hours wrapping christmas presents. Is it just me who takes ages or is this grossly unestimating it? I took well over an hour just on DDs presents although I may have been distracted watching a film at the same time

janx you can never peak too early with Christmas, it just allows more time for mulled wine and mince pies other important christmassy things you don't realise you need to do until you get there.

Can anyone link me to the FB Snowman thing?

supermariossister · 08/12/2013 18:14

glad it's not just meGrin

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 08/12/2013 18:19

Do you do all the wrapping, though, Reastie? If you spend 4.5 hours wrapping and your DH spends 30 minutes then on average you'll spend 2.5 hours each...

GlitteredPinecones · 08/12/2013 18:28

2.5 hours?! Shock It's taken me days! Grin

SpottyChristmasCakes · 08/12/2013 18:45

It takes me, on average, 15 minutes a present Blush this includes moaning that my legs hurt, change of position and staring aimlessly. So much more than 2.5 hours!

LarryAdler · 08/12/2013 18:49

They had Stompeez for 4.99 in my Home Bargains today. Only had small sizes though.

BeaWheesht · 08/12/2013 18:51

2.5 hours ?!?! I am embarrassed to say how many nights I have spent wrapping so far

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 08/12/2013 18:52

spotty Red Spotted Hanky double Tesco voucher values for rail travel, if that's any help

1muddymummy · 08/12/2013 19:09

Thank you so much crocodile have just bought 3 canvases. So excited.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 08/12/2013 19:15

Thanks WhereBe I had a look and they're £30 more expensive Sad think we will just have to suck it up! Because we'd have to take two cars (going with friends) it means it's just about cheaper than petrol and parking for a whole day

Reastie · 08/12/2013 19:28

spotty my average is similar to yours. I find the best place to wrap is on the kitchen worktop as I have some space and the level of the worktop is less backache inducing than the dining table. I take ages on each getting the ribbon/label etc just right. DH just wraps any old how (and only wraps mine, I do all the others)

SpottyChristmasCakes · 08/12/2013 19:30

I think I might get dp to do the dc's stockings. I usually sit in the floor but I think I might sit on the sofa and use dd's table this year see how that goes Grin

Oreocrumbs · 08/12/2013 19:40

Gah I'm about 5 hours into wrapping and I haven't even started on the children!! Doing it little and often!

Need to sort the calendars put still and it is getting perilously close to the deadline for Christmas delivery, and I'm STILL waiting for my cousin to send pics . Why isn't everyone an early bird like us? Xmas Grin
