Christmas presents from nannys

Just wondering if nannys think it's normal to buy small gifts for your charges? I'm talking £5-10. Equally does anyone have a nanny that buys Christmas gifts for your children. Not really sure of the done thing.

Ours always did and carried on doing so even after they weren't our nannies any more.

£5-10 sounds fine - depending on age I'd probably go for lower rather than higher.

We always bought our nannies Xmas presents too.

I always bought gifts for the children I looked after, or a board game, bottle of wine or chocs for parents too.
