8 yr old wants to start stamp collecting

We have loads of old stamps at home and DS wants to start stamp collecting. What do I need to get him as a started kit? There seem to be quite a few books out there that arrange countries together so that he can simply stick the stamps according to the country. Is there a good book to get him?

An album, stamp hinges, and a magnifying glass should be enough to get started, have a look on Amazon they will have a good selection. An atlas is useful too, for a bit of added interest. Later on a stock book might be needed.

We've just bought DS an album for around £8 that has pockets so no need for fiddly hinges.Bought him a pack of world stamps off Amazon too.

Fiddling with sticky hinges is half the time consuming fun of stamp collecting though

Which album is the best to start with? Is there a good book re stamp collecting for children? Thanks for the suggestions so far
