... For Xmas? Feel a bit mean getting him nothing (which was my original plan) so I need ideas. Just token things, not going to buy him an iPad or anything. Wink
Do I go for some toys aimed at older babies and put them away?

DS was 6 weeks old at his first christmas I got him an engraved winnie the pooh snowglobe which comes out every christmas now.

I also got him a jumparoo type thing (it wasn't a proper one but that kind of principle) as it was something I wanted for him anyway for when he was older.

DD will be 10 weeks at Christmas. We have bought her a swimming bag (trunki paddlepack to match her brother's), a swimming costume and a fisher price glowing seahorse toy thingy. The christmas elf brought er and her brother christmas jumpers this morning and we all get new pjs on Christmas Eve. That's all as I'm sure she will be ruined by everyone else!

Oh and a pink stingray - her brother decided that was what she ought to ask Father Christmas for and wrote it in his letter (thank you wonderful people in the shop at 'the deep' in Hull!)

I would probably get one 'keepsake' type thing like a Noah's Ark, or a lovely puppet, or a rocking horse. He might appreciate it in years to come if you can say 'this is what Father Christmas brought you on your very first Christmas'.

If you want to wrap a few things for photos, then I'd wrap some essentials like clothes or nappies.

DD's first Christmas she was 6wo. I got her a couple of books. I got Guess How Much I Love You and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

No one had bought her books at that point, and they are still treasured now (even though she's 12!)
