So this year I am thinking of having something other than Turkey for our Xmas day lunch. I just don't like turkey as it is too dry and very difficult to get flavours into.

Last year I felt the same way and got some lamb leg, lamb chops and whole salmon but it felt weird not to have a turkey so I was in the shops on Christmas Eve scrambling for a turkey crown which everyone ignored on Xmas day as they all preferred the lamb and salmon Wink. So who is ditching turkey this year? I need some courage Grin

We have a Capon every year, prefer the flavour to turkey and it's so much juicier. I've never been a big turkey fan but a Capon looks similar so it feels a bit traditional still!

We're having goose.

We're having goose. There's only 3 of us for Christmas so no point cooking a big turkey as we'd be eating it for days and days afterwards! How many people are you feeding? Goose is lovely but doesn't have the biggest meat yield.

We're the same, don't like turkey never have it on xmas. wouldnt even have it for a normal sunday lunch let alone a "special" lunch.

Always have a rib of beef and all the trimmings.

Chicken here for the meat eaters as they don't like turkey.

Just me, my dad and ds (age 2.5) for Christmas and we don't particularly like turkey, so have decided to have a ham instead. Thinking I'll do Nigella's ginger glazed one.
