anyone else get a random Amazon discount today/yesterday? £20 'promotional discount'

Early hours of this morning purchased a Samsung Galaxy tablet for DD .Was already reduced to 119 (not part of Black Friday) deal then when I went to pay noticed they had applied a £20 promotion discount. Have no idea why, how or where it came from! Anyone else ever had something like this happen

I am thankful really I am , yes will do a good couple of deeds today! Mmmm flowerpot I thought that but then again they are not really advertising it are they? It only applies the discount after you have put in your basket and selected delivery address. Oh well am advertising it here now !!!! Am very excited for DD off to research educational apps !

Are you sure the 'promotional discount' didn't just reduce it to the advertised price? This happened to me a couple of times yesterday.

Last week I saw a thread on here about lovely scarf gifts that were on sale on eBay to buy outright, rather than auction. Decided to get two - one for me one for sis. Went to checkout and noticed there was a message, assumed it was about a watched item from last time I'd been on eBay ages ago. By chance clicked into it and it was a £10 voucher they'd given me apropos of nothing. So I only ended up paying p&p. total fluke that I'd noticed it

Yep, I was watching a car seat to get thebest price. The price fell and I bought it and Amazon applied a random £25 off. I tried to buy another with DH's account but he didn't get the discount.

I got a random couple of quid knocked off something that was only a fiver Was pleasantly surprised tbh, used the couple of quid to buy the girls a little surprise for the morning each

Oh well - call it a loyalty discount then ! The advertised knocked down price was definitely £119 and it was only after I added to my basket went to check out and chosen delivery address that it was applied. Hopefully it will work for someone else too. Funny thing s it was a deliberate choice over Tesco as had read about them cancelling hudl orders etc and didnt want the bother so f it was to match tesco's price they had no worries with me anyway!
