Joined in with Secret Santa but am new to the workplace and am still only just getting to know colleagues. £10 spend. Any ideas please?

I always advise new starters that join us around Christmas to go for a nice box of chocs, selection pack of beers or a gift box from Lush. Yes it's a bit generic but tasty/useful always goes down well. Just perhaps check subtly that there are no major allergies to contend with.

We are a new team and don't know each other that well, so we had to provided a list of things that we would like/not like which has been extremely helpful.

I would spend some time observing the person you have to buy for; do they like a particular colour/eat certain things/wear nail varnish/costume jewellery/hobbies they may mention/do they drink etc. if its a man, does he follow a football club etc and buy something related to that.

If all else fails I tend to buy a mug, but our spend is less than 10.

As above really, something to eat or drink are always best frankly
We have £10 for ours and we get drinks that would go with Christmas lunch for each other.
I got some amazing sweet sparkling that we had with the Christmas pudding one year, it was really delicious
I guess we are a drinks gift club now, but the tt lady gets lovely cordials or bottle green fizzy etc so it is a nice treat

I was the new kid last year, so Santa gave me a snazzy coloured pen set. Simple but great!
This year I'm getting my person (female) a nice candle. Everyone likes a nice candle

Oh! Just remembered I saw this the other day, which would make great secret Santa fodder if you have access to your persons Instagram or Facebook photo feed
