Skylanders crystal/power crystal?anyone got a clue?

Friend's little boy has been on about wanting Skylanders Crystal something or other and another mum at the school gates was mentioning a triple/battle pack and a power crystal of some sort.ds is getting swapforce for Xmas and wondered can anyone enlighten me as to which character/pack they're on about?thanks in advance.

Hmm perhaps it is the prism break character - I'm not sure.Will see if I can get the school mum to give me any more info!thanks for helping.

Does she mean the light core figures? If so, they light up but otherwise don't do anything extra I don't think.
