How do you store yours?

Atm ours are a mish-mash of random stufd chucked in boxes but I'd like them to be a touch more organised so I can just get out what I actually want without having to root or be scared by eight legged beings jumping out of the boxes like just now

Any suggestions?

No suggestions but I have been meaning to start a thread like this for a couple of weeks so signing in. I've bought lots of new decorations this year from various different places and now need a way to store them that means they won't get damaged.

We have large crates like these that everything goes in. I have different crates for different things, so all the Xmas crockery goes into one, decorations for tree in one, other decorations in one, lights in another etc. I have rather a lot of Xmas stuff!

I'm going round to the local cheapy hardware store to pick up some plastic storage boxes later. One massive one for the tree and 2 small ones for the decs I think.

My mum said john Lewis sell specific boxes with dividers too.

bugger...just wrote a post & deleted it when I answered the phone!

One of the pound shops in town sell little boxes similar to the ones in the link, they'd be good for some of it so will add a few of those to my list for next time I go to town.

Ones with dividers sound a good idea too, will hunt for one of those.

(just spoken to dp....I could hear the Hmm Confused in his voice when I said we need decoration organisation Grin )

I keep mine in a collapsible ottoman in the living room. When it's Christmas, the tree goes in the same place, so I empty the ottoman and collapse it and stick it under the bed.

The Range do decoration storage boxes, wrapping paper/gift bags and tags organiser bags and Christmas tree bags. The tree bags are massive, the wrapping organiser is fantastic. Also they are red so easy to spot in the loft!

My other stuff, baubles etc are in plastic lidded crates which are just transparent enough to see what they contain.

I have 3 of the huge IKEA Samla or Gles boxes. They are on wheels and stacked in our cellar at the moment. I bought the lid clips to help stack them and keep the dust out. They are the cheapest storage boxes I ave ever found and are very sturdy for the price.

I'll need another one this year as I have bought a few more things - including a Glass Moose head punch bowl and mugs. Blush

zgaze · 27/11/2013 12:13

Wally - I MUST KNOW where you bought your moose head lunch bowl! Can you post a link?

Hello, I always buy all my storage bins from here, www.raptorsupplies.com/l2/storage-bins-and-containers , they have plenty of options available.
